iPhone & iPad (Safari)

Takes about 10 seconds.

  1. 1Open app.nannytime.app in Safari. (Chrome & Firefox on iOS don't support installing — you must use Safari.)
  2. 2Tap the Share button at the bottom of the screen.
  3. 3Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen .
  4. 4Tap Add in the top-right. The pink clock icon now lives on your home screen — tap it to launch.

💡 If you're inside another app's browser (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Gmail) tap the ‥ menu and choose “Open in Safari” first.

Android (Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet)

Chrome shows a one-tap banner at the bottom.

  1. 1Open app.nannytime.app in Chrome.
  2. 2When the Install NannyTime banner appears at the bottom of the screen, tap Install.
  3. 3Or — tap the ⋮ menu in the top-right and choose Install app / Add to Home screen.
  4. 4Confirm. NannyTime will land in your app drawer just like any app you downloaded from the Play Store.

💡 You can also just tap the pink “Install as app” button at the top of this page — it triggers the same install prompt.

Desktop (Chrome & Edge on Mac, Windows, Linux)

Handy for home admins.

  1. 1Open app.nannytime.app in Chrome or Edge.
  2. 2Look for the install icon in the right side of the address bar (looks like a tiny monitor with a down arrow). Click it.
  3. 3Or — open the ⋮ menu → Install NannyTime.
  4. 4Confirm. NannyTime opens in its own window, not a tab, and it gets a Dock (Mac) / Start Menu (Windows) entry.

Not seeing the install option?

  • Make sure you're on the real site (https://app.nannytime.app). Preview or test URLs may not support install.
  • On iOS, only Safari can install PWAs. Not Chrome, not Firefox, not in-app browsers.
  • If you already installed NannyTime once, the browser won't offer to install it again — open it from your home screen.
  • If the site is opened inside another app's built-in browser (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Gmail), tap the ‥ menu and select Open in Safari / Open in Chrome first.

About push notifications

On iOS, NannyTime can only send you push notifications after you've added it to your home screen and opened it from there. On Android and desktop, notifications work whether it's installed or not.
